I shared the Pipa music with a young man from China that was at our house working on our Airstream trailer, and he said that he loved it. How delightful to watch such a talented and graceful young skater! The article about 50 years ago brought back scary memories to my 76 year old self. And, as a former English teacher, librarian and nature lover, the poem melted my heart! Thank you for the treat!
JAILED FOR FREEDOM by Doris Stevens shares the struggle of strong women in their quest to obtain the right to vote. After reading about the mental and physical struggle of those women, every woman who does not vote should feel guilty for not using this lawful right to vote. I also encourage all who have an opportunity to see the touring company of the musical SUFFS to attend. It is fabulous! Much of the script references the Stevens book.
