The cookie was so very good. I have been a long time fan of Joe Yonan and have found a couple of cookbooks that I have of his, to provide such good recipes that don’t include ingredients that are hard to source. Madevthat stew when you firstbprinted it, and it was easy and delicious!

Hello! Glad to hear your voice. I don't like sumac but I love everything else in that salad, and I think it might be necessary for me to double the cashews just to make sure. I've taken to having a small tub of very simple trail mix in my car -- no chocolate but lots of dried cranberries, and plain nuts -- almonds, and cashews, which I add to. First, I basically mash fresh rosemary with salt to carry the flavor and mix some of that into my giant tub of very basic nuts and cranberries, which fancifies it. I add crunchy chickpeas and pepitas, and then a few spiced or candied nuts -- maybe cinnamon cashews -- for a treat. The spiced cashews from this recipe are likely to find their way into what I of course call "Deez Nuts". And then two months, later, when I've nibbled my way through the whole batch, I do it all again. It's a very satisfying car snack. Thanks for staying in touch.
